A palatial 10-bedroom Dural mansion has become the most expensive residential property to be auctioned in Sydney’s Hills District.

The 2.02ha luxurious estate at 21 Wyoming Rd sold for a record $6.3 million after attracting 16 registered online bidders from across the metropolitan area.

The picturesque acreage, which includes an indoor heated swimming pool and championship tennis court/basketball court, set the new record after selling under the virtual hammer last weekend.

It follows a stellar campaign by Lumby Hampson which resulted in 31 inspections and 33 contracts of sales issued. The impressive property attracted more than 45,000 views online.

Agent Will Hampson said the outstanding result reflected not only the home’s exceptional quality but also the smooth transition to online auctions during current lockdown restrictions. Bidding on the property started at $5m before it quickly jumped to $6m under auctioneer Kate Lumby before selling for the record price.

“Certainly, buyers are more familiar with the online auction process this time around and are just getting on with finding a new home - we had registered bidders from the Eastern Suburbs, North Shore, Northern Beaches, Inner West and the Hills District,” he said.
